A series of 4,5-diaryl-2-(substituted thio)-1H-imidazoles was synthesized and evaluated as antiinflammatory and analgesic agents in the rat adjuvant induced arthritis assay and the mouse phenyl-p-benzoquinone writhing (PQW) assay.
