Bronsted acid (TfOH) or solid acid (montmorillonite K-10) catalyzed aza-Diels–Alder reactions of methylenecyclopropanes with ethyl (arylimino)acetates were shown for the construction of the tetrahydroquinoline skeleton with the untouched cyclopropyl group in the 3,3′-position.
