  The cyclomanganation of (η6-arene)tricarbonylchromium complexes by reaction with benzylpentacarbonylmanganese affords new bimetallic compounds. The mechanism of the manganation as well as other underlying aspects of the reactivity of cyclomanganated complexes are addressed in this report.
