  In one aspect, the present disclosure relates to a pyrrolidine substituted quinolone compound. In another aspect, the present disclosure relates to a method of treating, ameliorating, and/or preventing an RNA virus infection in a patient in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the patient a therapeutically effective amount of a pyrrolidine substituted quinolone compound to disrupt the programmed ribosomal frameshifting (PRF) of the RNA virus. In some embodiments, the RNA virus is SARS-CoV-2.
