  烷基锂试剂（RLi：R = 甲基，正丁基，叔丁基）可以无立体化学偏好地加成到去氢萘酮上（R = 正丁基），或者以同步加成为优势。这种加成选择性在定性上与相应的烷基镁试剂相同，但在烷基锂试剂的情况下，还有还原反应的竞争，但影响较小。苯基锂和乙烯基锂优先从反面加成，而相应的格氏试剂则选择性地从同步面加成。考虑了立体选择性的可能原因。溶剂对加成的立体化学影响较小。
