An indanyl derivative of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are identical or different, and each is hydrogen, fluorine or chlorine R.sub.3 is hydrogen of phenyl R.sub.4 is hydrogen or alkyl of 1-6 carbon atoms, and R.sub.5 is hydrogen, alkyl of 1-6 carbon atoms, cyclohexyl or phenyl with the proviso that at least one of the substituents R.sub.3, R.sub.4, and R.sub.5 is different from hydrogen, or physiologically acceptable salts thereof with an acid, have valuable pharmacological properties.
Compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen, methanesulfonyl, or acetyl, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 jointly mean oxo, oximino, or separately two hydrogen atoms, or R.sub.2 is hydrogen and R.sub.3 is hydroxy or amino, and when R.sub.3 is amino, the physiologically acceptable acid salts thereof possess valuable pharmacological properties.
