ML2 complexes [M=Fe2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+; L=quinolin-8-olate (q), quinoline-8-thiolate (qt)] were prepared and their magneticproperties were studied. X-ray crystal structure analysis of Ni(qt)2 reveals that nickel(II) ions are arranged to form a one-dimensional structure with double thiolate bridges.
