An easy synthesis of linear cyclic 2-unsaturated boronates via organometallic reagents has been achieved. The final structure of the carbon framework is related to the tetracoordinated intermediate. Intermolecular rearrangement, disproportionation and reactions with carbonyl compounds have been studied.
