    The synthesis and characterisation of novel pyrazoline derivatives containing triphenylamine

    Novel pyrazoline optical materials were synthesized and characterized using H-1, C-13 NMR and HRMS: the thermal, optical and electrochemical properties of the compounds were also investigated. Solvent effects on the fluorescence of the six compounds indicated that the emission wavelength was red-shifted with increase in solvent polarity. Quantum chemical calculations were used to obtain optimized ground-state geometry as well as spatial distributions of the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) levels of the compounds.     摘要:
    It has been found that readily available 3-benzoylacrylic acids undergo palladium-catalyzed decarboxylative arylation with arylboronic acids in the presence of a copper salt oxidant to produce chalcone derivatives. The decarboxylative arylation could also be achieved using aryl halides as the alternative aryl source to expand the applicable scope.

    The problem of crystallization of organic photoconductive compounds in insulating binder-containing layers, which may impair the capability of those layers to produce high- resolution images, is overcome by using as the photoconductor a mixture comprising at least two compounds of the formula: wherein R is an alkyl, substituted alkyl, aralkyl, aryl or substituted aryl group; each of X, X', Y, and Y', which may be the same or different, is hydrogen, alkyl, substituted alkyl, alkoxy, substituted alkoxy, hydroxyl, nitro or halogen; each of A and 8, which may be the same or different, is hydrogen, alkyl, substituted alkyl, alkoxy, substituted alkoxy, hydroxyl, halogen, unsubstituted or substituted aryl, cycloalkyl having four to ten carbon atoms and cycloalkenyl having four to eight carbon atoms; or A and B taken together represent atoms which form with the carbon to which they are attached a substituted or unsubstituted carbocyclic ring having from 4 to 10 atoms, any alkyl, substituted alkyl, alkoxy or substituted alkoxy substituent having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms and any aryl or substituted aryl group being an unsubstituted or substituted phenyl, naphthyl or anthryl group, any substituent in a substituted aryl group being an amino, alkylamino, or dialkylamino group or a substituent as defined for X, X', Y and Y'.
