  A cyclic carbazole oligomer for organic light-emitting diodes is described. This cyclic oligomer has a high glass transition temperature (105 °C), and high quality amorphous film can be prepared by the conventional spin-coating technique. We examined the characteristics of this cyclic oligomer for electron transport layer applications. The device structure of indium tin oxide/hole transport layer/electron transport layer/Al was used. The EL device exhibited green light with a luminance of 60 cd m –2 at 15 V and the external quantum efficiency was 0.44%.

  The syntheses of novel cyclic oligomers based on the carbazolylacetylene unit are described. The desired cyclic tetramer could be synthesized in 14.3% yield by the reaction of 3,6-diethynyl-9-tetradecylcarbazole and 3,6-bis(3’-iodo-9’-tetradecylcarbazolyl)-9-tetradecylcarbazole in the presence of Pd(PPh3)4/CuI as catalysts under high dilution conditions and purified by column chromatography and isolated by preparative gel permeation chromatography. Besides the tetramer, a cyclic octamer was also isolated in 5.4% yield.

  本发明提供了一种3‑羟甲基‑9‑取代咔唑的制备方法。于干燥的100mL三口烧瓶中，冰盐浴冷却下依次加入A mL DMSO、B mol多聚甲醛、C mol乙醇钠、D mL无水乙醇，搅拌,固体溶解后，快速滴入E mol N‑烷基咔唑的DMSO溶液，A:E=(100~300):1，C:D=1:8,B:C:E=1:1.5:1，反应3 min后用几滴浓盐酸终止反应。然后加入蒸馏水，有固体析出，抽滤、水洗、干燥即得粗产品。粗品用无水乙醇重结晶得纯品3‑羟甲基‑9‑取代咔唑。本发明操作简单，反应时间短，产品纯度高，产率高，反应条件温和、安全环保，对该类化合物的合成及发展有重要意义。
