2-functionalised vinylstannanes (E)/(Z)-Ph3SnCR′CHYRn with acetic and chloroacetic acid in CDCl3 proceeded by protodestannylation yielding Ph3SnOOCCH2X (X=H, Cl) and CHR′CHYRn. The results of kinetics measurements reveal that Lewis-basic substituents YRn facilitate the electrophilic cleavage of SnC bonds, and this effect increases with the basicity of the heteroatom Y, i.e. in the order S

(k(D-A)∼ 4×10(4) M(-1) s(-1)) to electron-rich polarized olefins in an aqueous solution. The resulting photostable benzo[g]chromans are produced in high to quantitative yield. The unreacted oNQM is rapidly hydrated (k(H2O) ∼145 s(-1)) to regenerate the starting diol. This competition between hydration and cycloaddition makes oNQMs highly selective, since only vinyl ethers and enamines are reactive enough

β-Bromovinyl ethyl ether smoothly couples with Grignardreagents in the presence of [Ni(dppp)Cl2] as a catalyst to give the corresponding alkylated and arylated vinylethers in good yields. This reaction provides a new one-step, functionalized two-carbon homologation of Grignardreagents.

of ROMP of cyclic enolethers, using 2,3-dihydrofuran as the monomer, producing a new type of degradable and depolymerizable poly(enolether). The pol-ymers exhibited perfect regioregularity and their molecular weights can be regulated using the loading of Grubbs initiators or the use of a linear vinyl ether as the chain transfer agent. We also developed protocols to deactivate the catalyst following
