    通过开环复分解聚合(ROMP)合成并聚合了第一代和第二代Newkome型树突化降冰片烯大分子单体。在第二代大分子单体的情况下,聚合速率高度依赖于大分子单体的初始浓度。仅当浓度高于50 mM时才能实现准定量聚合。在可聚合基团和树枝状分子之间添加连接基提高了聚合速率,并且有可能在较低浓度下达到定量转化率。连接子的长度加倍进一步改善了聚合反应,使其聚合速度可与第一代树枝状大分子单体的聚合反应相媲美。本文提出的树枝状聚合物由附着在聚降冰片烯主链上的基于聚酰胺的树枝状聚合物组成。由于这些成分的特性(如生物相容性),我们预见到这些聚合物可能在治疗中具有应用。

    Integrated processes of preparing industrial chemicals starting from seed oil feedstock compositions containing one or more unsaturated fatty acids or unsaturated fatty acid esters, which are essentially free of metathesis catalyst poisons, particularly hydroperoxides; metathesis of the feedstock composition with a lower olefin, such as ethylene, to form a reduced chain olefin, preferably, a reduced chain α-olefin, and a reduced chain unsaturated acid or ester, preferably, a reduced chain α,ω-unsaturated acid or ester. The reduced chain unsaturated acid or ester may be (trans)esterified to form a polyester polyolefin, which may be epoxidized to form a polyester polyepoxide. The reduced chain unsaturated acid or ester may be hydroformylated with reduction to produce an α,ω-hydroxy acid or α,ω-hydroxy ester, which may be (trans)esterified with a polyol to form an α,ω­polyester polyol. Alternatively, the reduced chain unsaturated acid or ester may be hydroformylated with reductive amination to produce an α,ω-amino acid or α,ω-amino ester, which may be (trans)esterified to form an α,ω-polyester polyamine.

    The interplay of two subsequent aggregation processes results in a symmetrybreaking phenomenon in an achiral self‐assembling system. Partially fluorinated benzene‐1,3,5‐tricarboxamide molecules self‐assemble into a racemic mixture of one‐dimensional P‐ and M‐helical aggregates, followed by bundling into optically active higher‐order aggregates or fibers (see picture).

  • Evaluation of new positively charged 11- and 12-carbon 99mTc-labeled fatty acid derivatives for myocardial imaging

    Radiolabeled fatty acids are used as tracers for myocardial metabolic imaging and currently 123I-iodophenyl pentadecanoic acid (IPPA) or 123I-β-methyl-iodophenyl pentadecanoic acid (BMIPP) are the agents of choice. However, 123I being a cyclotron-produced isotope, 99mTc-labeled fatty acids are more desirable substitutes to 123I-labeled fatty acids. Toward this, two fatty acids, having 11 and 12 carbon atoms respectively, modified with cysteine were synthesized in a four-step procedure. These ligands were then radiolabeled with 99mTc using the [99mTcN(PNP6)]2+ core. Formation of the complexes and determination of radiochemical yields were ascertained by HPLC technique. In vivo distribution of the complexes was carried out in Swiss mice and the results are compared with 125I-IPPA. Both the complexes showed fast clearance from the myocardium till 10 min post injection (p.i.) followed by retention in the myocardium till 30 min p.i. However, compared with the result obtained with 125I-IPPA, the amount of activity retained in the myocardium by the present complexes were low. Both the complexes showed rapid clearance from liver, lungs, and blood unlike the case with 125I-IPPA. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
