Cyclooctane Metathesis Catalyzed by Silica-Supported Tungsten Pentamethyl [(SiO)W(Me)<sub>5</sub>]: Distribution of Macrocyclic Alkanes

Metathesis of cyclic alkanes catalyzed by the new surface complex [(SiO)W(Me)5] affords a wide distribution of cyclic and macrocyclic alkanes. The major products with the formula CnH2n are the result of either a ring contraction or ring expansion of cyclooctane leading to lower unsubstituted cyclic alkanes (5≤n≤7) and to an unprecedented distribution of unsubstituted macrocyclic alkanes (12≤n≤40)
新的表面配合物[(SiO)W(Me)5 ]催化的环烷烃复分解反应提供了分布广泛的环烷烃和大环烷烃。产品主要与式C Ñ ħ 2 Ñ要么一个环的收缩或环辛烷导致较低的或未取代的环烷烃环扩展的结果(5≤ Ñ ≤7)和未取代的大环烷烃的前所未有的分布(12≤ Ñ ≤40),分别通过GC / MS和NMR光谱鉴定。
