Herein, a rhodium(III)-catalyzedoxidative C–H activation of simple arylphosphonates and phosphonamides with subsequent coupling with alkenes (olefination), internal alkynes (hydroarylation and oxidative cyclization), or simple arenes to give access to diverse P-containing functional frameworks is reported.

We report herein the iridium-catalyzed meta-selective C-H borylation of benzamides by using a newly designed 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy) ligand bearing an alkylaluminum biphenoxide moiety. We also demonstrate the iridium-catalyzed C3-selective C-H borylation of pyridine with a 1,10-phenanthroline (Phen) ligand bearing an alkylborane moiety. It is proposed that the Lewisacid-base interaction between the
Oxidative Phosphonylation of Aromatics with Ammonium Cerium(IV) Nitrate Arylphosphonates 5 and 6 can be prepared in good yields in a one-step synthesis starting from arenes with tri- or diethylphosphites and cerium ammonium nitrate (CAN) as oxidant. The selectivity of the oxidative phosphonylation is relatively low; the reactive species is a phosphite radical cation.
We describe the direct synthesis of organophosphorus compounds from ubiquitous aryl and vinyl carboxylic acids via decarbonylative palladium catalysis. The catalytic system shows excellent scope and tolerates a wide range of functional groups (>50 examples). The utility of this powerful methodology is highlighted in the late-stage derivatization directly exploiting the presence of the prevalent carboxylic
general palladium-catalyzed one-pot procedure for the synthesis of phosphonates, phosphinates and phosphine oxides from phenols mediated by sulfuryl fluoride. It features mild conditions, broad substrate scope, high functionality tolerance and water insensitivity. The utility of this procedure has been well demonstrated by gram-scale synthesis, sequential synthesis of click chemistry building blocks
