A series of new amide derivatives of imidazopyridine is synthesized and structures of the products are confirmed by H-1 and C-13 NMR, and mass spectral data. The synthesized derivatives are screened for their anticancer activity against four human cancer cell lines: lung cancer (A549), breast cancer (MCF-7), melanoma cancer (A375), and colon cancer (HT-29). Six synthesized compounds exhibit more potent activity than the control drug.
