    Synthesis of cyclic and acyclic enol ethers (vinyl ethers)
    摘要:
    A general method has been developed for the conversion of both cyclic and acyclic acetals of cyclic ketones, acyclic ketones, and aldehydes into enol ethers through treatment of the acetal with trimethylsilyl triflate in the presence of N,N-diisopropylethylamine. The range of isolated yields of enol ethers from the various classes of acetals was as follows: cyclic acetals of cyclic ketones, 83-98%; acyclic acetals of ketones, 72-94%; acyclic and cyclic acetals of aldehydes, 65-90%.

    SnCl4-mediated reaction of ozonides (1,2,4-trioxolanes) with allyltrimethylsilane furnishes trimethylsilylmethyl-1,2-dioxolanes via metalated carbonyl oxides. The carbonyl oxides can arise through initial ionization of either the ether or peroxide oxygens.

    Ozonolyses of vinyl ethers 1a–c in CH2Cl2 in the presence of allylic and homoallylic alcohols 3a–c give in each case the corresponding unsaturated hydroperoxy acetals 4a–h, derived from capture of the carbonyl oxides 2a–c by the unsaturated alcohols. N-Halogenosuccinimide-mediated cyclisations of the hydroperoxides give the corresponding 1,2,4-trioxanes and/or 1,2,4-trioxepanes, depending on the structure of the hydroperoxides and the identity of the N-halogenosuccinimides.

    The hydroperoxidation of alkyl enol ethers using N-hydroxyphthalimide and molecular oxygen occurred in the absence of catalyst, initiator, or light. The reaction proceeds through a radical mechanism that is initiated by N-hydroxyphthalimide-promoted autoxidation of the enol ether substrate.
