    为了寻求新的抗菌剂,开发了一系列新颖的长链和中链单和双取代β-内酯。它们针对三种致病性分枝杆菌-M的活性。通过刃天青素微量滴定分析(REMA)评估脓肿,海藻分枝杆菌和结核分枝杆菌。在合成的16种β-内酯中,只有3-十六烷基氧杂环丁烷-2-酮(VM005)表现出对脓肿分支杆菌的有希望的活性,而大多数β-内酯表现出了有趣的抗海藻分支杆菌的活性,类似于经典抗生素,异烟肼。关于结核分枝杆菌,发现有六种化合物对这种分枝杆菌有活性,与β-内酯VM008 [反式-(Z)-3-(十六烷基-7-烯-1-基)-4-丙基氧杂环丁烷-2-一]是最好的生长抑制剂。

    The invention relates to a process for preparing polyhydroxyalkanoates by polymerization of lactones of the general formula I, where the substituents and the index n have the meanings given in the description, in the presence of at least one catalyst of the formula (II) L I M a X a m , where the substituents and indices have the meanings given in the description. The invention further relates to poly-3-hydroxybutyrates which have a novel property profile and are obtainable for the first time by means of this process, and also biodegradable polyester mixtures based on these poly-3-hydroxybutyrates.

    The object of the invention is to provides a process in which a high-molecular-weight &bgr;-butyrolactone homopolymer or copolymer being biodegradable, absorbable into the living body, useful as a functional polymeric material and superior in physical characteristics is produced with high yield and good productivity. This object is solved by a process for producing the homopolymer or copolymer of the invention, which comprises ring-opening polymerization of sole &bgr;-butyrolactone subjected previously to acid removal and dehydration treatment, or of said &bgr;-butyrolactone with other lactones, in the presence of a tin compound represented by the following formula (1) and/or formula (2): 1 wherein R 1 and R 2 and R 4 to R 7 independently represent an alkyl group containing 1 to 12 carbon atoms which may have a branched chain, or a cycloalkyl group containing 5 to 7 carbon atoms, or a phenyl or naphthyl group which may have a substituent group, R 3 represents an alkylene group containing 2 to 12 carbon atoms which may have a substituent group, a cyclopentane-1,2-ylene group or a cyclohexane-1,2-ylene group, and n is an integer of 1 to 10.

    The present invention relates to biodegradable PHA copolymers comprising at least two randomly repeating monomer units (RRMU) wherein the first RRMU has structure (I) wherein R1 is H or C2 alkyl, and n is 1 or 2; the second RRMU has structure (II); and wherein at least 50 % of the RRMU have the structure of the first RRMU. The present invention further relates to plastic articles comprising said biodegradable PHA copolymers. The present invention further relates to an absorbent article comprising a liquid pervious topsheet, a liquid impervious backsheet comprising a film comprising a PHA of the present invention and an absorbent core positioned between the topsheet and the backsheet.
