The synthesis of the polyether subunits (8 - 11), starting from elaiophylin (1), as well as their biological properties, nmr spectra and conformational studies were described and discussed. Based upon the missing ability of potassium transport it was deduced that compounds (8 - 11) were new lead structures concerning their anticoccidial activity.
