A photoelectric conversion element, containing: an electrically conductive support, a photoconductor layer containing an electrolyte, a charge-transfer layer containing an electrolyte, and a counter electrode; wherein the photoconductor layer contains semiconductor fine-particles carrying a metal complex dye represented by Formula (I); and a metal complex dye, a dye-adsorbed electrode and a dye solution for producing the same, and a dye-sensitized solar cell:

wherein M represents Fe2+, Ru2+ or Os2+; LD represents a ligand represented by Formula (DL); LA represents a bidentate or tridentate ligand having a nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic skeleton and at least one acidic group; X represents a monodentate or bidentate ligand; CI represents a counter ion for neutralizing an electric charge; mX represents an integer of 0 to 3; and mY represents an integer of 0 to 2;
wherein Z represents ring-forming atoms; D represents a coordinating atom selected from an oxygen atom and a nitrogen atom; E represents a single bond, -O-, - N(R1)-, -C(R2)2-, -C(=R3)-, -C(=O)-, -C(=NR1)-, or -C(R2)2-C(=O)-; R1 and R2 represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, a heteroaryl group, an alkoxy group, or an aryloxy group; R3 represents an alkylidene group, an alkenylidene group, or a cycloalkylidene group; R represents a substituent; m and n represent an integer of 1 or more; wherein at least one coordinating atom is a coordinating atom A and, among Rs in the number of n, at least one is a substituent W; and the coordinating atom A is an oxygen or nitrogen atom which does not have an unsaturated bonding arm, and the substituent W is an ethenyl group, ethynyl group, aryl group, or heteroaryl group, substituted with a monovalent alkyl group having 2 or more carbon atoms or with a substituent having the alkyl group.
