IDENTIFICATION AND USE: 1-Methoxy-2-propyl acetate is used as a solvent in cosmetic formulations, as well as in surface coatings, inks, and cleaners. HUMAN STUDIES: The substance defats the skin, which may cause dryness or cracking. It is irritating to the eyes and respiratory tract. Exposure at high levels could cause depression of the central nervous system. ANIMAL STUDIES: Watery eyes, anorexia, rapid shallow breathing, and excess salivation were observed in rats given a single dose of 4000, 6300, or 10,000 mg/kg 1-methoxy-2-propyl acetate. 1-Methoxy-2-propyl acetate was not a skin irritant in rabbits. 10% 1-methoxy-2-propyl acetate in water was not a sensitizer in a guinea pig maximization test. Some slight changes were observed in the appearance of renal tissues in rats exposed to 3000 ppm 1-methoxy-2-propyl acetate. Slight to moderate degeneration of the olfactory epithelium in the nasal cavities was seen in rats and in mice. 1-Methoxy-2-propyl acetate had no adverse effect on reproductive parameters in rat developmental studies. 1-Methoxy-2-propyl acetate did not induce mutations or toxicity in Salmonella typhimurium strains TA98, TA100, TA1535, or TA1537 or in Escherichia coli WP2 uvrA, with or without metabolic activation.

Blood samples from the jugular vein cannulae were collected 5, 10, 15, 30, and 45 min and 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 12 hr after injection. The blood time courses of methoxyisopropanol elimination for both doses of both compounds were identical. The /half-life/ values for the low and high doses of methoxyisopropyl acetate were 1.6 and 2.3 min, respectively. The clearance rates of 14.7 and 147 mg/kg methoxyisopropyl acetate were 4 and 11.0 mL/min, respectively.

制备方法与用途

高级溶剂

丙二醇甲醚醋酸酯PGMEA 作为一种无色且具有特殊气味的高级溶剂,因其分子中同时含有醚键、羰基和烷基结构,在同一分子内既存在极性官能团也存在非极性官能团。这些特性使得它对极性和非极性的物质都有一定的溶解能力。

丙二醇甲醚醋酸酯作为一种低毒的高级工业溶剂,目前广泛应用于油墨、涂料、纺织染料和油漆等领域,行业发展迅速。近年来,中国已成为全球最大的丙二醇甲醚醋酸酯生产国,产量约占全球总量的36%,主要产能集中在华东和华南地区。

市场情况

丙二醇甲醚醋酸酯可分为电子级和工业级两种类型。目前,工业级产品较为成熟,而电子级产品仍有较大的发展空间。电子级产品的纯度较高,市场上的纯度多低于99%。这类产品常用于光刻胶中,其含量通常超过80%。随着国内LCD和半导体光刻胶的国产替代提升,对于丙二醇甲醚醋酸酯的需求将不断增长。

结构特性

丙二醇甲醚醋酸酯PMA)分子结构中含有醚键、羰基以及形成酯的结构。在同一分子中,既有非极性部分,又有极性部分,两部分官能团既相互制约又各自发挥其固有的作用,因此对非极性和极性物质都有一定的溶解能力。

应用

丙二醇甲醚醋酸酯可以用作纤维素溶剂、高聚物溶剂、橡胶溶剂和天然大分子物溶剂。在涂料工业中广泛用作溶剂;在皮革行业中作为柔软剂的溶剂,提高皮革的柔软性和光泽保持能力;在印刷行业中是优质的油墨溶剂。此外,在液晶制造过程中它是重要的制程化学品。与丙二醇混合的溶液常用于清洗液,并且也是光刻胶的重要组成部分。
