Copper (II) complexes derived from 2-benzylidene-1-indanone ligands were successfully deposited by thermal evaporation, and the optical and electrical features of films were examined. All the films present an ohmic and p-type semiconductor behavior. These films represent an alternative approach to obtaining hole-transporting layers that may be suitable for optoelectronic applications.
