The present invention relates to heterocyclic compounds useful for antagonising angiotensin II Type 2 (AT2) receptor. More particularly the invention relates to pyrrolidine and azetidine compounds, compositions containing them and their use in methods of treating or preventing disorders or diseases associated with AT2 receptor function including neuropathic pain, inflammatory pain, conditions associated with neuronal hypersensitivity, impaired nerve conduction velocity, cell proliferation disorders, disorders associated with an imbalance between bone resorption and bone formation and disorders associated with aberrant nerve regeneration.

Deep eutectic solvents (such as the combination of urea and choline chloride) are found to be promising solvent and phase-transfer-media for benzylation of phenol. These methods avoided the complexity of multiple alkylations giving selectively O-alkylated aromatic products. Good to excellent yields of the corresponding benzyl phenyl ether were obtained. The non-toxic, biodegradable, inexpensive, and
This work describes the highly efficient Pd-catalyzed direct coupling of aryl ethers (including the typical lignin model compounds) and morpholines to produce 4-cyclohexylmorpholines, a useful class of fine chemicals. Without employing any acidic additives, various 4-cyclohexylmorpholines could be synthesized with good yields from a variety of aryl ethers using H2 as a hydrogen resource. A mechanism
Metal-Free Regioselective Monocyanation of Hydroxy-, Alkoxy-, and Benzyloxyarenes by Potassium Thiocyanate and Silica Sulfuric Acid as a Cyanating Agent
A novel and efficient metal- and solvent-free regioselective para-C–H cyanation of hydroxy-, alkoxy-, and benzyloxyarene derivatives has been introduced, using nontoxic potassium thiocyanate as a cyanating reagent in the presence of silica sulfuric acid (SSA). The desired products are obtained in good to high yields without any toxic byproducts.
heterogeneous catalyst. Very interestingly, the fabricated Pd/Hf-MMT was highly efficient for the direct reductive aminolysis of arylethers with amines to synthesize various N-cyclohexyl-substituted amines at a low H2 pressure of 0.3 MPa without using any homogeneous acidic additives. Systematic investigations revealed that the strong acidity of Hf-MMT and the lower electron density of metallic Pd synergistically
