    Reaction of trifluoroacetaldehyde dimethylhydrazone with TFAA yielded 3-(dimethylhydrazono)1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butanone, which could be condensed in situ with diamino compounds to afford 2, 3-bis(trifluoromethyl)quinoxaline, 5,6-bis(trifluoromethyl)pyrazine, and 4,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)-1H-imidazole.
