Reactions of allyl-functionalized poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) derivatives with alkoxysilanes proceeded efficiently to furnish the corresponding hydrosilylated products in good to excellent yields using a ruthenium catalyst, [RuCl2(nbd)]n.
