A polymer comprising mainly repeating units (1) and/or repeating units (2), containing optionally terminal groups (3) and/or repeating units (4), and having a reduced viscosity [ηsp/c] of 0.2 to 10.0 dl/g as measured in a 0.5 g/dl solution thereof in methylene chloride at 20°C; a resin coating fluid containing the polymer, a charge-transfer substance and a solvent; and an electrophotographic photoreceptor containing the polymer as a binder resin in a photosensitive layer, wherein Rf1 represents a group that is composed of at least carbon atoms and fluorine atoms and bonded directly to the two oxygen atoms of the carbonate linkage in the general formula (1) without any intervening arylene group; and Rf2 represents a group that is composed of at least carbon atoms and fluorine atoms and bonded directly to one of the oxygen atoms of the carbonate linkage in the general formula (3) without any intervening arylene group.

A description is given of a fluorine-modified one- or two-component polyurethane resin having improved surface properties, which is obtainable by a) preparing a fluorine-modified polyurethane prepolymer having free isocyanate groups or free amino and/or hydroxyl groups, or a fluorine-modified polyol mixture having free hydroxyl groups (binder), and by b) preparing a fluorine-modified polyurethane resin having a polymer-bonded fluorine content of 1% to 4% by weight in the system as a whole by reacting the fluorine-modified polyurethane prepolymer from stage a

) in the case of a one-component application with atmospheric moisture, or reacting the fluorine-modified polyurethane prepolymer or polyol mixture (binder) in the case of a two-component application with a crosslinker component (D) (curing agent), with a formulating component (F)(ii) in the presence if desired of a solvent component (L)(iii) and also of a catalyst. Through the use of suitable fluorinated macromonomers in the one- or two-component polyurethane resins of the invention it is possible to produce hard coating systems and/or surfaces having very low surface tensions and very high contact angles. Furthermore, the dirt pickup tendency of these polyurethane resins is also significantly reduced as compared with the known prior art.

The present invention provides a liquid repellent membrane whose liquid repellency can be controlled by a varying physical stimulation; a novel fluorine compound which can be formed into the liquid repellent membrane; an electrical board, display device and color filter for display devices which are formed using the liquid repellent membrane by a method involving irradiation of visible light, which may be combined with a heating step, but needing no vacuum or ultraviolet ray irradiation process; methods for producing an electrical board, display device and color filter for display devices; and a pH sensor and ion sensor working on measurement of changed liquid repellency. The fluorine compound having liquid repellency is provided with a site at which it can be bound to a functional group, e.g., compound having a pigment unit.
