A new catalytic system CsF-NaOH was developed for the synthesis of mono- and divinyl ethers of alkanediols exceeding in efficiency KOH. The nucleophilic addition of diols to acetylene in the presence of this system occurs both at enhance pressure (without solvent, 140–160°C) and atmospheric pressure (in DMSO medium, 100°C) of acetylene. Conditions were established of a selective preparation in a high yield of divinyl ethers from diols.
The present invention provides a reactive diluent composition which overcomes drawbacks of both the radical-cure and the cationic-cure reactive diluents and can be applied in a broad variety of uses such as paints, inks, adhesives, pressure sensitive adhesives, surface-modifiers, and molding materials; a curable resin composition containing the same; an activated energy ray-curable resin composition; and an activated energy ray-curable ink composition for ink-jet printing.

A curable composition for mechanical foaming having a complex viscosity η* that satisfies the following conditions (A) and (B) in frequency dependence measurement by a rheometer, in which the curing form of the curable composition for mechanical foaming is not a moisture curing form:
condition (A): η* at 0.1 Hz and 25°C is in a range of 1000 to 50000 Pa·s; and
condition (B): η* at 10.0 Hz and 25°C is in a range of 100 to 1000 Pa·s.
