A new synthetic method for the preparation of 2,6-disubstituted 4-aminopteridines is described. Treatment of 2-substituted 4,5,6-triaminopyrimidines with α-ketoaldoximes in MeOH affords in a regioselective one-step reaction 2,6-disubstituted 4-aminopteridines in high yield.

The present invention refers to new classes of polymerisable monomers, to molecularly imprinted polymers obtainable by polymerisation of at least one of the monomers and a cross linking monomer in the presence of a template molecule. The obtained polymers may be used for separation of enantiomers, diastereomers of the template molecule, and also for separation of the template molecule or template molecule analogues from structurally related compounds.
