A novel mesoporous Pd/cobalt aluminate bifunctionalcatalyst has been synthesized by a facile co-precipitation process and used in aldolcondensation of furfural with acetone and the following hydrogenation of condensation products. This kind of bifunctionalcatalyst has good activity and can be recycled and regenerated easily.
