The invention relates to compounds of formula (I):
where A is an optionally substituted heteroaryl, useful for treating disorders mediated by acyl coA-diacylglycerol acyl transferase 1 (DGAT1), e.g. metabolic disorders. The invention also provides methods of treating such disorders, and compounds and compositions etc. for their treatment.
The reaction of POCl3‐activated, readily soluble diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) with 2‐aminoheteroaromatics to yield 1:1 and 1:2 hydrogen chelates is described. Complexation of these hydrogen chelates with boron reagents results in thermally and photochemically stable fluorescent dyes (PP–azacyanines). Described are compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.2 -R.sub.8 independently of one another denote hydrogen, loweralkyl, phenyl, alkoxy, halo, hydroxy, nitro, trifluoromethyl, ##STR2## with the proviso that at least one but no more than one of the substituents R.sub.2 -R.sub.8 is ##STR3## and with the further provisos that at least four of the substituents R.sub.2 -R.sub.8 are hydrogen and R.sub.2 cannot be ##STR4## when R.sub.3 -R.sub.8 are hydrogen, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. The compounds are effective as antiinflammatory and antiasthma agents.
