  1-Propanone derivatives represented by the formula: wherein Ar is a 4-cycloalkylphenyl, 3, 4-methylenedioxyphenyl or 2, 3-dihydro-5-benzofuranyl group, R is a straight-chain, branched or cyclic alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or a cyclopentymethyl group, and A is an unsubstituted or substituted 1-pyrrolidinyl, piperidino, hexahydro-1H-azepin-1-y1 or octahydroazocin-1-yl group, and physiologically acceptable acid addition salts thereof. These compounds are useful as central muscle relaxants.
