4-oxadiazol-5-ones from amidoximes using pentafluorobenzoyl chloride or trifluoroacetic anhydride (TFAA) as a double acylating agent. The pentafluorophenyl anion and the trifluoromethyl anion acted as leaving groups in this transformation.
