Ag(I) coordination polymers with flexible bis-imidazole ligands: 2D interwoven structure and wavy layer network based on silver–silver interactions

Two new coordination polymers [Ag(BIM)SO3CF3](n) (1) and [Ag(2-mBIM)NO2](n) (2) [wherein BIM = bis(imidazol-1-yl)-methane, 2-mBIM=bis(2-methylimidazol-1-yl) methane], were synthesized by the reactions of AgSO3CF3 with BIM and AgNO2 With 2-mBIM, respectively. They were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, TGA and single crystal X-ray diffraction studies. Compound 1 is an example of silver coordination network with 2D fabric structure in a "one-over/one-under" fashion through weak Ag...Ag interactions. Compound 2 adopts a wavy 2D layer network constructed through the Ag... Ag interactions between each neighboring 1D zigzag chains. TGA measurements suggest that 1 and 2 are thermally quite stable, with decomposition temperatures being 355 degrees C and 230 degrees C, respectively. Solid state luminescent spectra of compounds 1 and 2 indicate weak fluorescent emissions at ca. 345 and 409 nm, respectively. (c) 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
A mixed ligand route for the construction of tetrahedrally coordinated porous lithium frameworks

Reported here are two 4-connected 3D frameworks based on monomeric lithium nodes, which are synthesized through a mixed ligand route. By combining a negatively charged imidazole ligand and a neutral bis(imidazolyl)methane ligand (or one of its derivatives), neutral frameworks adopting chiral quartz-dual and diamond topologies have been obtained. These materials have low framework density and can reversibly adsorb hydrogen gas.

Preparation method for zeolitic imidazolate frameworks

The present invention provides a preparation method for zeolitic imidazolate frameworks. The preparation method comprises: adding a metal carbonate or oxide, an organic ligand to a hydrophilic liquid to obtain a mixture; introducing an acidic gas to reach a reaction pressure of 0.1 MPa to 2.0 MPa, and reacting for a predetermined time; heating to 30° C.-60° C. and vacuuming to obtain the zeolitic imidazolate framework. The present invention also provides a zeolitic imidazolate framework obtained by the above preparation method. The preparation method according to the present invention is environmentally friendly and has a high yield.
