Abstract A new and a simple approach toward synthesis of 1,3,5-trisubstitutedpyrazoles from chalcone arylhydrazones via oxidative cyclization has been achieved. 2,3-Dichloro-5,6-dicyano-1,4-benzoquinone was successfully used as an oxidizing agent to give excellent yields of pyrazoles. A mild and efficient protocol for the synthesis of fluorinated pyrazoles has been developed via gold(I)-catalyzed tandem aminofluorination of alkynes in the presence of Selectfluor. This method offers a broad substrate scope.

A series of 5‐aryl‐1H‐pyrazole derivatives were synthesized via the reaction of 3‐(dimethylamino)‐1‐arylprop‐2‐en‐1‐one with hydrazine in aqueousmedia without using any catalyst. This method has the advantages of easier work‐up, mild reaction condition, high yields, and an environmentally benign procedure.

A new synthesis of substituted 1H-indazoles and 1H-pyrazoles from arylhydrazones via FeBr3/O-2 mediated C-H activation/C-N bond formation reactions is reported. The corresponding 1,3-diaryl-substituted indazoles and trisubstituted pyrazoles were obtained in moderate to excellent yields under mild conditions.
