  Abstract A facile and efficient route has been reported to selectively prepare a series of unsymmetrical monoimidazole/polyamine amides without protection process of the polyamines. These amides are versatile building blocks for the synthesis of DNA sequence recognition ligands and other biologically functional molecules.
