cyclohexanone have been shown to condense with polyhydric alcohols and monosaccharides to yield di- and tri-cyclopentylidene and cyclohexylidene derivatives. Series of new compounds with glycerol, pentaerythritol, mesoerythritol, arabitol, mannitol, sorbitol, xylose, arabinose, glucose, mannose and fructose have been prepared and characterised.
