The synthesis of six new fluorinated polymers was performed by radical terpolymerisation, starting from three monomers: maleimide, epoxyallyl ether and fluorinated allyl ether. All the polymers have been characterized by elementary analysis, H-1 NMR spectroscopy and GPC. DSC and TGA analysis indicate that all the obtained terpolymers exhibit in T-g values (from 130-170 degrees C) and good thermal stabilities (higher than 280 degrees C). The introduction of lateral fluorinated groups, as expected, decreases the T-g values of the polymers but improves their thermal stabilities and surface properties. Finally, all these polymers were crosslinked by a UV cationic catalyst with DVE-3, H2C=CHO-(CH2CH2O)(3)-CH=CH2,as diluant and Ph(3)S(+)SbF(6)(-) as initiator.

The fragrance compounds can have multi-faceted odors. The fragrance compounds can be used alone or incorporated into a fragrance composition and/or consumer product to modify or enhance the odor of the fragrance composition and/or consumer product.
