  Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von 3-(2-Arylvinyl)-2, 2-dimethylcyclopropan-1-carbonsäureestern der allgemeinen Formel (I) in welcher Ar, R, R1 die in der Beschreibung angegebene Bedeutung besitzen, das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß man Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel (11) mit einer Base umsetzt sowie neue Zwischemprodukte zu ihrer Herstellung und Verfahren zur Herstellung dieser Zwischenprodukte.
