The development of an exocyclic-selective, chromane-forming Heckreaction is reported. Detailed mechanistic studies revealed the crucial role of a bisphosphine mono-oxide-based Pd complex to promote high exo:endo alkene selectivity (>99:1) in the Heckreaction.
