  Two pyrazine-containing macrocyclic polyazomethines 2 and 3 were synthesized by direct [2 + 2] and [3 + 3] condensation reactions between 2,2'-[pyrazine-2,3-diylbis(oxy)]dibenzaldehyde (1) and hydrazine.
