An efficient totalsynthesis of ( ±)-lavanduquinocin, a potentneuronalcell protectin g alkaloid from Streptomyces viridochromogenes , i reported. Key-steps are an iron-mediated one-p ot construction of the carbazole framework and a nicke l-m diated coupling reaction.
