  In the title compound, [SmTi2Cl7O(C4H8O)(6)], the metal ions are linked by a central mu(3)-oxo ion and by three mu(2)-chloro ions, giving a planar moiety containing a binary crystallographic axis. The coordination spheres are completed by terminal chloro ligands and tetrahydrofuran molecules, with resulting pentagonal bipyramidal and octahedral environments for the Sm and Ti atoms, respectively.
