  Oxidative coupling of benzylamines and alcohols with methyl substituted N-heteroarenes such as quinolines and quinoxalines has been achieved using chloride, a sea abundant anion as the catalyst for practical synthesis of a wide range of E-disubstituted olefins in aqueous medium.
