12 novel pyrazolecarboxamides containing cyano substituted N‐pyridylpyrazole were synthesized, and their structures were characterized by 1H NMR and HRMS techniques. Their evaluated insecticidal activities against oriental armyworm (Mythimna separata) indicated that the cyano‐containing pyrazolecarboxamides exhibited moderate insecticidal activities.
