The coordination polymers [Co(oba)(bpe)](H2O)(0.25)}(n)(1) and ] (2), )(ere H(n)ba = 4,4'-oxy (bis)benzoic acid, bpe = l,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethene and dpa = l,2-di(4-pyridyl)ethane, were synthesized by solvothermal method and characterized by FT-IR, UV-vis, PXRD and TGA techniques. Single-crystal X-ray Compound 2 shows isostructure to that of 1 which was synthesized for the comparison purpose in alpha yes Compound 2 shows isostructure to that of 1 which was synthesized for the comparison purpose in dyes adsorption properties. The anionic dyes adsorption performances of 1 and 2 were investigated and discussed in the context of different N-donor linkers. The results show that the removal efficiency of anionic dyes adsorption on compound 1 is much higher than 2 (92.5 and 78.7% for methyl orange and, 86.5 and 35.6% for orangell). The reusability and stability of 1 on methyl orange adsorption were also investigated.
