Transition-Metal-Catalyzed Synthesis of 1,3-Diynes and Ynamides from 2-Bromo-1-iodoalkenes

Diynes and ynamides are important products in chemical synthesis. An efficient palladium-catalyzed homocoupling reaction of 2-bromo-1-iodoalkenes to give 1,3-diynes has been developed. The reactions are conducted under convenient conditions and provide products in moderate to excellent yields. Moreover, ynamides were synthesized from 2-bromo-1-iodoalkenes and carbamates, and it is noteworthy that this reaction is catalyzed by nanoparticulate copper(I) oxide to give ynamides in high yields.

In this protocol, an additive controlled Rh(III)‐catalyzed divergent synthesis of 3H‐pyrrolo[1,2‐a]indol‐3‐ones and highly functionalized tetrasubstituted olefin derivatives is described. This synthetic strategy exhibits high efficiency and broad functional group compatibility.

Symmetrical 1,3-diyne compounds can be easily synthesized via a transition-metal-freehomocoupling reaction of 1-haloalkynes without base and oxidant. The method shows excellent functional group compatibility and high yields.
access enynylboronates via a Pt-catalyzed diboration/protodeboration strategy has been developed. The reaction is suitable for various silylsubstituted symmetrical and unsymmetrical 1,3-diynes, leading to π-conjugated organoboroncompounds with excellent regio- and stereoselectivity.
