Helical cluster glycosides: Enhancements of binding affinities of helical cluster glycosides for plant and bacterial lectins were demonstrated by hemagglutination inhibition assay, isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC), and molecular modeling. The 3D arrangement of the saccharide moieties was one of the keys to enhanced affinities of the carbohydrate–protein interactions.
