The propoxy-bound helical PBA shows an excellent chiral recognition as a chiral stationary phase (CSP) in liquid chromatography and resolves various chiral aromatic/aliphatic alcohols. Such powerful CSPs can be produced from the racemic monomer-based PBA via deracemization of the biaryl units.
