    Lipophilic peptide nucleic acids containing a 1,3-diyne function: synthesis, characterization and production of derived polydiacetylene liposomes

    Adenine-, cytosine- and thymine-containing peptide nucleic acid (PNA) monomers have been synthesized in which either diacetylenic or stearoyl moieties are attached to the N-or C-terminus; the diacetylenic group is embedded within a long hydrocarbon chain. A range of analogous lipophilic functionalized PNA oligomers have been prepared using either solid phase synthesis or a post-synthetic solution phase procedure following cleavage of the PNA oligomer from the solid Support. Selected functionalized PNA monomers and oligomers have been incorporated into liposomal polydiacetylenes and characterized by UV-vis absorption spectroscopy. Preliminary investigations show that blue PDA-liposomes containing thymine-based PNAs can be formed and that production of liposomes with other PNA systems are viable. (c) 2005 Elsevier Ltd.     A molecular imprinted surface was prepared by polymerizing the Langmuir film of a mixture of two polymerizable amphiphiles, one of which has a boronic acid group as a binding site for a template molecule, 4-nitrophenyl α-d-mannopyranoside (3), dissolved in the aqueous subphase. The imprinted surface exhibited an improved affinity (35%) for the template molecule 3 in 2-butanone compared with the non-imprinted surface.

    The polydiacetylenes derived from a hydroxybenzaldehyde substituted diacetylene monomer display a unique colorimetric change (blue to red) and large fluorescent enhancement in the presence of cetyl trimethylammonium salt.

The particles respond to the presence of ATP and PPi (pyrophosphate) in buffered aqueous solution by visible changes of their color and emission properties.     본 발명은 열적 특성이 개선된 도펀트 제조방법 및 이에 따라 제조된 도펀트를 포함하는 전도성 나노 복합체에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 폴리아닐린에 도핑하여 우수한 전기전도성 및 열적 특성을 나타내는 도펀트 제조방법 및 이에 따라 제조된 도펀트 및 폴리아닐린을 포함하는 전도성 나노 복합체에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에서는 도펀트의 열적안정성을 개선하기 위해 다이아세틸렌 유도체의 한쪽 말단기를 술폰산(sulfonic acid) 또는 벤젠술폰산(Benzenesulfnoic acid)으로 치환하여 술폰산 그룹에 의해 우수한 도핑 특성을 가지며 증가된 아로마틱(Aromatic), 알리파틱(Aliphatic) 그룹으로 인하여 열적안정성이 증가된 도펀트를 우수한 수율로 제조할 수 있는 방법을 제공할 수 있다.

  • Photo-responsive cholesterol-substituted diacetylenic organogels: morphology tuning, photo-switching and photo-polymerization

    A novel cholesterol derivative organogelator (CAZODA) containing both azobenzene and diacetylenic units is synthesized. By using XRD, CD, TEM and SEM characterization, the gelation behavior, microscopic morphology and molecular packing structure in CAZODA assemblies are investigated in detail. It is found that the concentration of the CAZODA at the initial stage plays a crucial role in tuning the microstructure from helical fibers to spherulitic gel networks. Upon UV irradiation at 365 nm, the photo-induced transition of the helical packing structures for CAZODA assemblies has been demonstrated by CD characterization, and an explanation based on the co-assembly of both trans- and cis-form CAZODA has been proposed. In addition, upon irradiation at 254 nm for 3 h, the above organogel can be polymerized with concomitant color change from yellow to red. The polymerized gel exhibits enhanced stability upon thermo or photo-stimuli.
