Protolysis and ketone addition reactions are reported for neophentylallyllithium in THF solvent. The yield of the trans-C8H16 olefin essentially constant for protolysis with the following active hydrogen compounds: water, tert-butanol, 1-hexyne, cyclopentadiene, fluorene, and triphenylmethane.
