Electron-rich ruthenium phthalocyanine complexes were evaluated in carbene transfer reactions from ethyl diazoacetate (EDA) to aromatic and aliphatic olefins as well as to a wide range of aromatic, heterocyclic and aliphatic amines for the first time.
